Silk Ikat of Uzbekistan. Ikat is a tie-dyeing method with historical roots. Timeless characteristic patterns in the fabric are traditionally created by the resist  dyeing method applied to yarns before they are woven in to silk, cotton or wool. The tiny imperfections or the white line sometimes found every 2-3 meters in the fabric are due to the dyeing method and handmade nature of Ikat and makes each garment truly one of a kind. Eco friendly and sustainable.
